Welcome to Most Blessed Sacrament!
Letter from Father Paul Schreiner
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
Greetings from Norwalk, Ohio! It’s been a quick three weeks since my assignment began at Saint Paul the Apostle Parish, and things have been going very well. It has been a big transition with getting used to a new area, meeting new people, and integrating with the life that surrounds a bigger parish. But overall, it’s been a great joy to celebrate the sacraments on a daily basis as I begin a new chapter in my life as one of God’s priests.
Words cannot express the generosity shown to me surrounding the First Mass I celebrated at Most Blessed Sacrament Parish! I thank Msgr. Billian for helping to organize the event, for preaching at my First Mass, and for the wisdom that I received from him during my internship year! Also a special thanks to Bob Rae and the Most Blessed Sacrament Choir for the beautiful music, and all the instrumentalists who played for the special occasion! Also a shout out to the ladies who made all the delicious food for the reception! And finally a big thank you for the two gifts I received from the parish – The beautiful gold vestment, and the ornate-looking chalice, which was given to me by all the kids from the school. I have received many comments about how beautiful they look!
Although I now belong to another parish, I want you to know that I will never forget the experiences I received at Most Blessed Sacrament Parish. Whether it was frying onion rings at the festival, visiting families, or teaching religion classes – I will always hold these moments close with me as I continue with my current assignment. It has been a privilege to friend many of you – the many couples and families – throughout the past couple years. Know that I will come back to visit the parish from time to time, and know that you are welcome to visit me in Norwalk if you are ever in the area!
God bless you!
